Design

HAT has long experience in the manufacture and supply of formed product both in aluminium and other materials both in the formed state to fully machined and finished sub assemblies. As a result of the detailed knowledge of the process capabilities and economics we can and do provide to our customers during the design and innovation phase of new projects.

• Design for manufacture inputs to ensure selection of cost effective options form the manufacturing cost perspective. This also includes material supply issues
• An awareness of the capabilities of various processes including to tolerances, tooling requirements/costs etc
• Prototype and pre production quantities for evaluation and testing
• Long term supply options

This is supported by investment in a range of CAD facilities

Toolroom

Since it was founded in 1956, the company’s core competence has always been in the design, engineering and manufacture of specialist machine tools, forming and machining. This started with the development of specialist forming machines but with the need to maintain competitiveness, HAT recently established an additional fully equipped toolroom of 3,200 sq ft. - vital to the company’s fast turn-around capabilities
Today, in line with the momentum towards ‘one stop shop’ service offerings, the company specialises in providing total solutions to customers who require formed, machined components and sub-assemblies.
